Teen gets probation in Ninja Attack was considered to take place and the input of the victim and the family was considered to play a significant role for the punishment of the perpetrator and such was considered to be a brutal attack on an innocent child. The victim was left with a scar and along with such the attack was regarded as fatal as he was a good kid with low risk and low needs. The incarceration of the perpetrator helped in fulfilling the objective of deterrence along with retribution and punishment through incapacitation and control. The boy before the beginning of the trials had undergone certain psychological evaluations and the officials were considered to demonstrate and examine the exemplary behavior. Thus, the case had taken place with the decision that the boy would receive probation till the age of eighteen and such had been agreed upon (Hong Chui, 2017). However, the primary objective of incarceration in this case was considered to relate to making of an example of the boy. In addition to such, the case involved the usage of a deadly weapon that was considered to have resulted in murder and the child was considered to seem influenced to not hesitate using a weapon. Therefore, the accomplishment or achievement if incarceration would be to achieve safety of other children existing in the community. The decision was fair since such punishment had been accepted by both the parties and the evaluations through professionals helped in understanding that incarceration was not considered to be a good option but the facts justified the decision . Strictly, on the basis of facts, the parties would have been referred to a psychologist if I were the judge and I would have given a sentence that would satisfy both the parties. In addition to such, the juvenile would have been brought up on assault charges and treated very differently as that of an adult (Jäggi, & Kliewer, 2020). Therefore, to conclude, it can be stated that there would have been alternatives to the decision of the case and the juvenile might have been tried as an adult. However, he was considered to be incarcerated in order to make him go through retributive punishments along with deterring of the crime.
