To educate a group of parents about vaccination, first a PowerPoint presentation based class will be arranged. After arranging the class, the parents group will be called inside and each of the groups will be given a place to sit. The presentation will first begin with the definition of vaccination – what it actually is. Next, the presentation will show why vaccination is necessary and what its benefits are. Next, the presentation will be used to describe why vaccination is necessary for children and all doses needs to be completed on time (Bianco et al., 2019). Finally, the theoretical understanding based class will be over with a short note on the risks of vaccination.
The main points of discussion will revolve around the importance of vaccination in children and why it must be given at the right time. The vaccine protects children against severe and disease complications, including limbs amputation, hearing loss, limb paralysis, seizures, brain injury, and death. Impairing diseases including mumps, measles and whooping cough continue to be a threat. When children are not vaccinated, it can spread to younger children or individuals with a compromised immune system, including transplant recipients and cancer patients, if the disease is not immunized. These vulnerable people could lead to long-term complications, and even death.
Vaccination is highly effective and successful. Only after a lengthy and detailed analysis by science experts, healthcare service providers and general physicians give vaccines to children. Vaccines will cause some irritation and can cause pain, redness or tenderness in the injection site, but this is small effect in comparison with diseases that these vaccines avoid. Contrasted with pain, discomfort and traumas. In certain cases, vaccines have decreased and removed many diseases that only a few generations ago killed or seriously handicapped people. Small pox vaccination, for example, has eradicated the disease globally. Immunization costs no more than care for diseases shielded from children by vaccination.
The rationale for vaccinating children lies in the fact that it protects them from various diseases. When you're a new parent, child vaccinations or immunizations can seem daunting. Approximately 14 different diseases are covered in vaccination dosage times as recommended by the organizations and agencies including the CDC, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
In addition to protecting your child against fatal diseases such as measles, tetanus or diphtheria, vaccines often protect your child against other children by removing or drastically reducing the amount of harmful conditions used to spread from child to child. A vaccine or a part of the pathogen that causes the illness is a dead, damaged version. If children are exposed to a vaccinated disease, they can develop antimicrobials that prevent them from contracting the disease when exposed and by the immune system that is the genetic engine of the body. Over the years, some safety concern has been created by vaccines, but no conclusive proof was found. And while children can react to any vaccine, it is important to know that the advantages of vaccines are well above and beyond possible side effects. Vaccination can avoid diseases widespread in and around the world such as polio, meshes, diphtheria, petroleum cough, rubella, tetanus, rotavirus and Haemophilus influenzae type b. (Hib). A vaccine is no longer used outside the laboratory as one of the most terrible diseases in history, smallpox. Over the years, many vaccines have prevented infection and saved millions of lives (Bocquier et al., 2017). Immunity is the way the body avoids disease. The immune system of a child is composed of cells, glands, tissues, and fluids distributed across the body when born. Vaccines have been found to be composed of disease antigens or antigenic parts. For example, the measles vaccine contains the virus of measles. However, antigens are destroyed or decreased to the degree that they do not cause disease in vaccines. However, they are powerful enough to establish anticorps that lead to immunity in the immune system. In other words, the first exposure of the child to a disease is enhanced by a vaccine. The child gets security without getting sick. Therefore, it can be said that vaccines are responsible for the prevention of numerous deadly diseases from occurring in children.
